Gingko in the Permanent Collection at the Centre Pompidou

Gingko carbon LOVEGROVE

We are pleased to announce that Ross’ Gingko Carbon Table has been selected for inclusion in the permanent collection of Design and Architecture at The Centre Pompidiou in Paris.
The work is a seminal piece in Ross’ creative process representing the trinity of material, technology and form that is core to his exchange between Design and Art.
The table is a double skin carbon assembly bonded around a polyurethane inner moulding  which is unique in that most carbon skins are single sided. The resulting piece conforms to what he describes as single surface deformation using creasing strategies to generate a structure which represents the way that nature seeks out purity and economics to achieve balance and integrity around evolutionary principles of holistic form creation.
